Power Flow/Pilates

A flowing harmony of Vinyasa based Yoga and Pilates

A creative blend of Sun salutation-like sequences to build strength and endurance, improving flexibility with deep freeing hip and shoulder opening postures to counteract the ill effects of tension in the body. Combined with the Pilatés Method of Core conditioning  (The "Core"- the body’s core postural muscles or the the stabilizers of the body: the abdominals, hips, lower back, and thighs) to sculpt and tone the mid-section. Focusing on (Yoga Bandas - Strong Core) for empowered proper alignment, adding fluidity to the spine for injury prevention. Promoting good posture, longer leaner muscles, more freedom of movement. 

 

Core Power...  Empowering students to reach beyond their present level of fitness by strengthening the connection between mind ~ bodyEstablishing a firm foundation to feel grounded, confident and stronger while maintaining stability in challenging balance poses, strengthen alignment for enlivened posture and a free flow of energy in standing and seated poses~ awakening and bring life to the core. 

Never the same class, Core Power is a journey, a path, a doorway into something deeper, let go and feel, allowing the transformational process for a stronger body and clearer mind.

 All levels challenge and or modify without judgment. 

Class will be co-taught in the coming months as we grow and a 8:30am beginner class added.

 

Destin Yoga by the Sea incorporates Core Power in the Power Flow classes as well.
