Gentle Yoga: This class will focus on a broad range of therapeutic techniques from yoga, somatics and physical therapy. Good class for those with some limitations, in need of rehabilitations from injuries or anyone just in need of stress reduction and increased flexibility. For those not wanting a powerful flow practice. Chill Yoga: Restorative/Yin Yoga appropriate for everybody! Class focuses on relaxing the body in restful or seated postures using props and long hold times to open the body in a more passive way eliminating fatigue and stress. Good class for those with a powerful practice to learn to take it easy Vinyasa Level One: Slower paced flow class focusing on foundations. Good for brand new to yoga students who want to learn to flow and possibly go on to the more powerful paced classes. Experienced Vinyasa students can gain a better understanding of the practice by going back to the basics. Learning all the variations and modifications to the poses will take the struggle out of the practice. Always remember not every pose is for everybody. Fluid Flow: intermediate This is an anything goes flow class with some more advanced poses offer. Focusing on linking poses moving with the breath (Vinyasa). Newer to yoga students welcome, just don't try and do everything. Listen for the options to the poses and know it is encouraged to take a break when needed and to go at a slower pace or skip poses if newer to a flow practice. More advanced students are welcome to throw in an arm balance or handstand. Power Flow Tune Up: intermediate This class will be half powerful Vinyasa flow with options to the more advanced poses offered. A good class for newer students up for the challenge. Other half will work on the foundations and techniques for those crazy poses and fun transitions thrown in the middle of power yoga class. Sun Salutations broken down to learn to "float" or handstand your way into chaturanga:) Each class will break down an arm balance and an inversion. Learn a proper chaturanga and basic crow pose, all the other arm balances will come with practice. We will start there and move on to handstands.. Power Yoga: "Experienced" 2-3 Moving mediation in action. Ashtanga students will feel at home. This class is for the experienced student who wants to continue to grow in the practice but by no means just for the advanced in ability. Class will move at a faster pace with creative transitions not allowing time to give students all the many options to the many poses. Students of all levels of ability interest in having fun and up for a challenge are welcome, just able to listen to the body and modify when needed... as we all do in power yoga. Expect to be asked to jump into the bottom of a push-up within the first five minutes but know it is just as impressive to step into a "knees chest and chin" in better stronger form, than to push past your edge and possible injury your shoulders or back. Know that it's always ok when you hear "take a Vinyasa" to just keep your peace in down dog, we'll meet you back in a breath and a half or five breaths for a break. Expect to sweat and detox the body without extreme heat and have so much fun in the present moment, you wonder how the time when so fast. Vinyasa "Experienced" 2-3: Freestyle Fluid Flow Yoga...more to come.... Christian Yoga: Very excited to bring Christian Yoga to the area with some amazing teachers. Slow paced to powerful flow classes will be offer for devoted Christians who might have been weary to try yoga or those interested in deepen their practice and Christian faith. Studio SUP Pilates: CoreFit SUP: A unique functional fitness class designed on the SUP boards and Indoboard discs combining balance, agility, cardio moves and body strength to engage and strengthen your core. Lots of abdominal work using multi-function moves to cross train your body for variety and fun!
Studio SUP Yoga: Shake up the practice with a "floating mat". Stand Up Paddleboard on Indo disks inside the studio give the sensation you are on the water without the fear of falling into the cold water. Humbling to even the advanced student and a benefit to all levels of ability. Foundations, proper alignment and learning to engaging the stabilizing muscles must be the focus to stay on the board. A greater awareness of their importance is gain in the effort not to fall. It becomes a fun mission to do poses that seems easy on the mat. Can't be sloppy in the pose. New students will feel at home watching the more advanced and even the teacher fall. I have found it more challenging than on the water, so a good place to practice before you join us on the water. |

No worries if new to Yoga, we will stay basic before the water warms up. You don't need to know how to Paddle Board, in fact best to learn to balance on the board by applying yoga/pilates skills in the am classes. Back ON Beginner SUP Yoga Warm up with a 20 minute Fluid Flow session on the yoga mat under the trees in the park, focusing on foundations before we practice basic poses on the board or some days out on the board to warm up:) Foundations, proper alignment and learning to engaging the stabilizing muscles must be the focus to stay steady on the board. A greater awareness of their importance is gain in the effort not to take a plunge. No worries we will stay in basic easy poses until the water warms.
