Saturdays are over "flowing"  in class size and Positive energy

New level 2-3 Class added Saturday's at 8:00am... While the 9:00am will still welcome newcomers with a little more ease~

Beach classes move to 9:15am Saturday March 14th for the spring season.  This winter saw record numbers for class sizes. New and returning students breathed off the winter blues,  enjoying the peace and serenity found on our quite beaches in the winter season.  Returning snowbirds showed they had continued to stay in practice, inspiring us all.  Spring time will accommodate the still growing  beach yoga experience with 4 days at the beach.  Classes will be on the beach or under the covered Pavilion on warmer days, with lots of space to expand.  Monday moves back to the beach, continuing the Fluid “Power” level 2-3 from the winter 8:30 class that was held at Village.  Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday’s still welcoming beginners to ease into the flow, while  challenging the continuing student.  Our Spring Break visitors and returning dolphins playing near the shore are sure to energize our practice as past spring breaks have  proven… back to more fluid  flowing yoga by the sea. (spring Newsletter 09)

~What to expect~

Designed to inspire beginners, modifications are taught so seasoned practitioners and newer students alike can enjoy learning the importance of staying in the moment and exploring yoga from the inside out.

The level and sequence of the postures are in accordance with the energy of the class.

Vinyasa Yoga Flow~ A energizing yet easy to follow Vinyasa style yoga class that "flow's" yoga poses linked one into another guided by the breath. Flowing sequences of  Sun~ Salutations, balance, standing, seated and core strengthening postures are designed to sculpt the body, improve flexibility, increase coordination and muscle tone while making your spirit happy. Holding some poses longer to deepen awareness of alignment in more advanced variations, better flexibility added by the breath in lengthen poses and introducing arm balances. Moving meditation in action, fully enjoying the moment with the ocean horizon as a focus point.

Fluid Flow~ A creative Vinyasa style yoga class. Fluid sequences flow yoga poses one into another on a current of synchronized breath. Added fluidity, repetitious movements in the transitions from poses that naturally increase full body strength, stamina, and flexibility while calming and steadying the mind. True moving meditation in fluid flowing action fully present in the moment.

Fluid Power Yoga (Hour)~ will be the most "powerful" classes offered moving a little faster with fun challenging transitions and balance poses with less direction (this does not mean all participants are or should be advanced...many newcomers have started here) all levels are welcome,  just able to go at their own pace... remembering every pose is not for everybody. This allows students to grow deeper in "their practice".  Newcomers please come early for some instruction. (Intermediate/Advanced Level 2-3)

Yoga Slow Flow~ Especially good for newcomers to Flow or those who would like to master the more advanced poses, both levels can benefit from a refresher on the basic balance between effort, ease and surrender. This class will move slower yet stronger to build a strong foundations to further in the practice Emphasizing alignment principles of the basic postures.  Holding poses longer to deepen awareness of alignment in more advanced poses and arm balances. Centering on the mind/body connection with breathing (pranayama) techniques, and relaxation skills, while exploring the variations and modifications of more challenging  poses. Combinations of the shoulders, back, chest, hips and hamstrings will be covered in each class to promote greater flexibility and strength, improving posture and relieving stress.

Power Yoga Light~ Shining the "light" on the basics of "Power" (an invigorating style of yoga) allowing the true benefits out of the "Practice"  to "Shine" through for all levels. Still challenging the more seasoned students while presenting modifications to the newer students and summer visitors to ease into the Flow.

Vinyasa~ All classes are Vinyasa style. The basic principle of Vinyasa Flow Yoga is for each pose to be gracefully linked by the breath in an evolutionary flow that empowers each student to explore the full range of their potential wherever they find themselves. Encouraging attention and awareness to the breath and alignment of the spine for empowered form,  grace and stability. Remembering its not about how far you go into a pose, its about being where you are at the present moment as fully as possible. Allowing us to step out of our heads and get grounded in peace with the rhythmic sound of the waves. Set in the ideal atmosphere to find a deep sense of well-being and inner strength.

You will leave renewed and ready for the day.
